I finally called microsoft on this issue. It turns out there was a conflict
between the video driver and the network card driver with regards to my
system. I am running a DX48BT2 system with an Visionteck ATI 2600 chipset.
It took 2 hours to diagnose and may be due to a bug in the system. We will
see if Microsoft comes out with a fix or if Intel comes out with a better
driver for the network card. I did reinstall the latest ATI driver and have
not had problems since.
