After installing SP1, I noticed that some folders had disappeared from my
desktop. A couple were folders of shortcuts (easily recreated), but one was
a
folder of recently taken photos. I know I hadn't deleted it myself because
my
recycle bin still contains some of the rejects I deleted from that folder,
so
if I had deleted the folder itself it would also be in there. Ahen I went to
restore one of the rejects it told me the folder it came from no longer
existed.

I was hoping Vista had just moved the folder, but a file search could not
find it. And my weekly backup only copies my hard disk, which I guess does
not include desktop items?

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to retrieve these
folders?
