I did a manual download of SP1 with no problems. First, though, I made sure
all of the steps recommended by the 'before you download' page at MS were
done (all drivers updated, etc.). I also completely turned off my Norton
Internet Security 2008. The download didn't take as long as I thought it
would, and everything's been fine, since. (HP Pavilion Dual Core, Vista Home
Premium.)
