Well, you haven't used Norton with Windows Mail for 8 years...

Windows Mail is especially prone to suffering corruption from
aggressive antivirus products.

Be sure to follow Robert's suggestion to follow up with the
Norton cleanup program.

If you like, we can recommend a compatible free antivirus.

Alternatively, you can upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which is less
prone to corruption from antivirus program activity.
