Outlook and Outlook Express are not the same program. Don't confuse them.

Outlook Express won't run under Vista.

This is often the kind of error message you get if the problem is due
to interference from an antivirus program. What if any antivirus
programs do you have, and have you ever had a Norton or McAfee
antivirus program on that computer, even one of the free trial
versions that often come already installed on new computers?

Also, Windows Mail often has problems reading files not on the
main hard drive, and for imports, it often has problems with files
that are readonly instead of read-write.
