Now that we kind of agree that there is no 'button' in WLM settings to enable Delete and Block....<g>
The method to enable the option in an html email is accomplished by Tools/Safety Options/Security/Download Images
- place a check in Block images and other external content in Html email
An Html email with images in the message when viewed in Preview mode or a separate window will have an additional notice at the top of the message
Clicking the first will move the message to the account's Deleted items folder and also add the sender to the Blocked Senders list.
How and if it 'bounces back messages to the sender' or its inherent selective criteria has not been well documented.
- Fyi...Sending en html email from an external source(another person, web ui of an isp, hotmail ui) to a WLM pop3 or http account with or without the sending address as a WLM contact does not appear to generate the above prompt; whereas external messages including some common Windows Live(e.g. Alerts, Spaces) and Msft(Technet, Msft newsletters, etc) generated html notices do. Thus....ymmv.
Caution is warranted in using this since many forms of spam spoof the sender as the intended recipient, ie. one could inevitably add their own email address to the Block Sender list. If WLM's security option for Junk Mail is set to delete immediately, valid messages may never be seen!
