I was going to suggest heat related problems but thought your PC was
new so didn't mention it. The 8800GTX runs very hot. I have a GTS and it
can heat a small room. Yes, dust is one of the main problems I have to
deal with day in day out. It's the first thing I do when working on a
failed PC, clean out the dust and I have seen many shorted motherboards
due to dust. Make sure you clean any dust from the 8800 fan as well.
With an 8800 in there cooling is essential for your rig, so make sure it
has adequate fans for the hard drive as well as in hot summers hard
drives will have a hard time especially if you have Vista working them.
Best to get the rig raised well above floor level. Desktop is best but
sometimes not good if you have a big box.
