Sorry to hear about your hubby's illness.

I've looked around on the web and can't find any product with the name
'Flashware' that might be some sort of virtual memory manager.

But I agree with Ken, you just don't need stuff like that with Vista (or XP,
for that matter) - it manages its memory very effectively and no utility
will make it any better. You don't need to worry about Vista not 'clearing
out' the memory from a previous game (unless that game is still running).

I think the problem is elsewhere, and I would be very tempted to take this
up with the game supplier. Also, make quite sure you've got the latest
graphics drivers installed.
