At this point you might suspect some sort of hardware failure. First and foremost, like Rip said, remove extraneous hardware cards and all but a single stick of RAM and try booting off the DVD - if it still goes goofunky, then download Memtest86 iso and burn it to a CD (obviously on a different computer since this one will not boot) and test your RAM...if it *still* hangs then you may have a failing motherboard or else a CPU Heatsink issue. |
