rosthorn - is it possible this is only happening because something all of a sudden is trying to write to a protected area of the HD (such as Program Files) and after two or three reboots you somehow get rid of it, only to have it reappear again? That certainly sounds like malicious behavior.
However, I noticed that you said it happens randomly on *a* drive - is this to say it happens on *different drives? |
