Prblem with Windows Update and Works 8
Hi can anybody help me, windows update did an update today and one is for Works 8, now this came preinstalled on my compaq desktop and they didn't include the disc for this program yet windows update says it needs to install an important update for it and when I let it install it says it needs this file C:\hp\tmp\src\MSWORKS\ so I click OK and it says The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to the folder containing the installation package 'Works8.MSI' in the box below. which has the C:\hp\tmp\src\MSWORKS\ name or asks to please insert Microsoft Works 8.0 disc which I don't have. I emailed HP(who make the COmpaq computer) but just wondered if anybody else on here had had this message. |
