Greetings,
Beyond what's already been mentioned, Messenger actually has the ability to filter out
offline contacts and not show them. To check or turn this off, open up the main Messenger
contact list window, press the Alt key on the keyboard to bring up the menu bar, choose
Contacts, then Filter contacts and make sure that either 'Messenger contacts only' or 'All
contacts' are selected. Obviously if Online contacts only is selected, the offline ones
won't be shown.
