When you use VPC2007, what you in effect do when you create a guest is
to get yourself a readymade PC with a given set of hardware (but that
hardware is emulated in software) and with no operating system
installed at all.
You can change a few items in this PC:
- Amount of RAM
- Hard disk size (but beware, it behaves like a real drive so it is
not possible to change the dive size once it is in use).
- Enable using a LPT printer port chained from the host
- Enable using a COM port chained from the host
- Number of network cards in this PC
I think the list is now exhausted.
You cannot change any peripheral like the video card or sound card at
all, because these are part of the VPC program (that emulates the
video system).
And you will not get any USB connectivity at all...
