Is it just the printer?
I have a couple Lexmark printers that will do this. If I unplug or plug
while the PC is on, they act like they were never on the machine before.
Several times have had to completely un install and re install to get them
to work again. I tried lots of idea's, nothing ever worked. I found
sometimes if I made sure the PC was off, and then did it, it would work,
even that did not always work. PITA. I finally just left the printer scanner
on the desktop. If I want to print something I use a jump drive.
