No, my HP scanner is acting funny too, now. If I try to scan my
starting the HP Solution Center application it claims it cannot talk
to the scanner. If I try to scan by pressing the front-panel button it
scans but at an unreasonable high resolution. For some reason I now
see several scanner devices.
I solved the printer problem by removing the printer and letting Vista
re-install the drivers.
