Your complaints are consistent with that of a simple nOOb. I have installed Vista hundres of times on just as many different configurations and have had none of the difficulties you are having.

The GUI is perfect and much better then XP. And thats without having to use any 3rd party programs, which really just muck your system up.

Zipo files? WinRAR. Problem solved. Its the same I used for XP.

Since Vista is such a core for you(15 installs and you still cant figure it out) I suggest you uninstall Vista and return to XP until your computer sills advance past the pre k level.

If you really want to use Vista the "right" way, have an expirenced user install it for you so that the problems you have will no longer be an issue.
