I do run Office 2007 on all ten of my systems. From small bus. edition to Proversion to Office 2007 ultimate on my personal system. The kids use the pro version and my wife the small bus. edition.

After over a year of useing them we have never had a corupt anything.

Prehaps my 6yo daughter can give you some pointers on how to use your equipment. I would point you to my 8yo or my 17yo sons but they are advanced users and would probably get frustrated trying to teach you.
