First of all, if you found the forums from a Google search, and the post was related to your problem, then posting in that post would have been the route to go. If it was not related but you found us anyway, then my apologies and good job on making a new post for your issue.
Now, since you have it working right now and you know of potential problems, I'd test it by rebooting and seeing if it changes or not. Also, have you changed your router's default login PW? Finally, Enabling / Disabling LAN should have no bearing as that refers to wired connections and cannot be 'hacked' without someone attaching a cable to your router. Of course, if you *do* have wired connections, then disabling LAN will disable all of those computers' connections, so obviously you don't want to in that case.
