I did a backup of my WLM contacts.
The resulting .CSV did NOT show the birthday field.
The birthday field is visible when viewing/editing the contacts.
I agree that the field should be in the .CSV, alas,'tis missing.

Are you signed in with a Hotmail-type Live ID? If so, all your
contacts are available at contacts.live.com and you don't need to
export them from WLMail. Further, if you *do* want to export them to
CSV for backup purposes, then the Live contacts export includes more
fields than you ever knew you had, including birthday.
Gary will explain to you the value of using the sign-in process as
an extra level of security with regard to recovering lost contacts.
