Thanks for the reply Oscar - that seemed to work and I have now wrestled back control back of two files...

However, I've got thousands to do, all in different folders although all in one top level folder (documents within my docs). Selecting all and clicking on properties doesnt seem to bring up the appropriate menus that i get from selecting one file... I assume this is because i have got folders and files selected.

Any clues how i can sort out this problem on multiple files?
