Yes the Northbridge cooler is very close but it looks closer then it is in that picture, there is about a 1cm gap in between but personally I was more worried about it shorting out on the back of my Graphics card. I think the big problem I have is space because this board was so small and it was only going to be a temporary replacement for my Gigabyte board which was RMA. I have to say I am glad I bought it though as it overclocks realy well. I wouldn't buy another Gigabyte board now I have used ASUS. ASUS ROCKS!!
