I installed XP first then Vista, set up a dual boot, but now I want to
remove Xp, is it possible to remove XP, and make the "D" (which is a
partition of a 360 gig drive) the "C" part of the drive, what I am trying
to do is keep vista without having to re-install and all the setting up that
comes with it.

Hello Gordon,

I am assuming you mean xp is on your first partition and Vista's boot volume is on the second partition. You wish to remove xp and move Vista onto the first partition ?

If you look in disk management through Vista's eyes , you will probably see that Vista's system volume is on the first partition.

Also, windows disk management won't allow you to move Vista's partition intact, or extend to the left ( as you view it in Disk Management ).

You may need to use a bootable 3rd party tool to do this, like Gparted

Hope this helps
