Almost. It's just that the data flowing between the wireless connection is either encrypted or not. If not, anyone with the correct program can see (sniff) what you are typing and can get whatever information you typed along with access to your network connection. If encrypted, they will just see a garbled mess instead and will be of no use to them. I would recommend using WPA/WPA2 encryption instead of WEP. WEP is not as good. |
