operating system files" unchecked.
I feel like a dolt...
I was able to rename the files as listed above, but this did not fix the
problem. (There is no visable diffrence)
The last step in the instructions that I was following is to remove the
entire C:/Boot directory. Performing that step produces an unbootable XP
partition.
I think it may be time to just wipe the drive and clean install RC2.
