There is no way that you can invoke MS Outlook Express on any Windows Vista
computer; Windows Vista does not ship with MSOE, it ships with Windows Mail.
I expect that what you think is MSOE is really Windows Mail. They do have a
similar appearance and layout.

Which email client is set as default on the affected system? I only have
access to one computer with Windows Vista on it, and the owner does not want
any IM applications installed on it, so I have no way to play with things.
