Re: Temp fix for Vista Running the installer in XP Compatibility mode hasn't worked yet, I think
what is happening is that the installer decompresses the files and spawns
another install process, and the 2nd install process doesn't get ran in XP
Compatibility mode. I'm talking about the installation for HP Lightscribe
direct disc labeling software, as well as a few others, but I even found
programs made by Microsoft that have this error like Visual Basic 2005
and the Windows Live Toolbar that comes with Windows Live Messenger.
So I looked for a workaround, I'd like to figure out how to trick those
Windows Version checks though, probably a registry setting...
