you should try system restore. it may fix a few problems, but i dont think it will fix them all.. system restore only records system changes and not file changes, so if the files you are refering to are NOT system files, then that is a whole different matter...if it is a driver that has caused the problem, use system restore and that will put it right by rolling back the driver to the previous installed
you say the game asks you to install when you try to open it and that it says you must uninstall the previous version, have a look in your installed programs list and see if its still in there, if it is click on it and then click uninstall... if a box appears saying the file might have been moved or deleted, it should also give you the option to remove the program from the list, as it can no longer be found. if it gives you this option, you should remove it and then try to install the game... |
