I think the formatting is ok. All my important files are backed up to my laptop when they are both on at the same time and in the same LAN. The laptop has a little less security but it has a fingerprint reader so no need for passwords.
You aren't running 2 anti virus and 2 firewalls are you ? It's just that your answer says NOD32 and Avast which are both anti virus programs, you say you have Comodo Firewall Pro and also McAfee Security Suite which I believe contains a firewall.
Can you clear that up for me
