I understand that it's preferable to keep the host OS and guest OS on
different physical drives.

If I have five identical SCSI disks, if there any increased value in setting
up 2x RAID1 for host and 3x RAID5 for guests, as opposed to putting all on
the 5x RAID5?

Once the OS has loaded, I can't see that it's going to use the disks very
much anyway.
I figure that a 5 disk RAID5 will be faster for both guest and host, even if
they're both running together.

Can anyone confirm or negate my thoughts?
