Bios detects the original dvd(set to master other to slave) and the newly installed dvd(HP DVD CD/DVDDW TS - H652D ATA Device). Physically checked cables and utilized the BIOS on System Health had no change in voltage. Both DVD behave same way reads the disk but can not load the game. Today, the computer required several minutes to load FireFox. So this may be something else. Ran sysbot, avg and ad-ware to check system. A few cookies but no viruses. Did download ATI manager for the graphic card Radeon 1600x Pro. Also the system required a long time to boot 8 minutes. any ideas this is like a puzzle with no pattern best regards vance |
