heh, It bsod because the patch is a nothing but lies
Soylomass..Shao128 is right
I use Shareaza, UTorrent, Limewire, Azureus (even though some use the same networks) and others depending on my needs...The Half-Open connection limit is aimed at developers not end-users of these applications like yourself...These clients and others (Utorrent being an expception) dont need extra configuration because they have been updated for the half-open limit changes (only utorrent actually uses half-open connections and even then its one or two connections used for compatibility with older clients, it uses a setting of max_Halfopen 8 instead of 4 so you need to adjust that manually under advanced config yourself)
If you cant browse the internet while using these applications then you either configured the app wrong or your router/modem cant handle the amount of connections p2p applications create...
This limit has been around 4 or 5 years now and developers have adjusted their applications accordingly, I also haven't seen a single kb drop in the speed of my downloads else I would be using the patch...Some people just misunderstand the Microsoft KB article and decided they should blame that limit for their slow downloads or other problems
BTW Its also not a good idea to patch the core of windows networking (like that patch does) because you never know what security problems or code they might place there
