I just realized a workaround for all those fighting file sharing issues... and if you are trying to share printers I have one solution...put your printer on a Vista box. I realized tonight that all I wanted to do was share files. And how is that most commonly done? FTP. I downloaded and installed FileZilla Server on the XP box and in Vista you can map a FTP server as a network drive, therefore no hassle network going through standard port 21. |
