There's no magic command to do what you want automatically.
You would have to do it all manually and as I indicated,
rather awkwardly.

E.g. for each message that you want to mark with a color
create a rule which is sufficiently constrained that only that message
will be marked when you apply it. Then apply it to that folder or newsgroup once.
