Re: LiveUpdate driving me nuts. Is the program expired??? That'll cause those constant popups. If it's not expired then try reinstalling Norton.
Does your clock has the correct date??? Sometimes things can happen which causes the clock to loose it's date. And...well Norton will constantly see updates.
By the way, what Norton program is it?
"Is this common when having to do a system restore?" - It shouldn't, but Norton, who knows.
Also, be aware that some Norton/Symantec products don't work nicely with Vista 64 - NAV 2008 comes to mind.
BTW, I'm not a Norton/Symantec basher, I've used Symantec products for years on Windows 98-Vista 32bit and had no problems until I went to Vista 64-bit, then I found that Norton Anti-Virus 2008 had issues under Vista 64, Which was confirmed by Norton/Symantec's tech support. Not sure if Symantec got the problem(s) sorted out in Norton Anti-Virus 2009 or any of it's other products so...
