You might want to check with Symantec to be sure Norton Internet Security 2008 (NIS 2008) Is compatible with Vista 64. I know for fact that NAV 2008 wasn't, it had limited functionality - I could not right click a folder and do a manual virus scan. You can try this yourself, since NIS 2008 contains NAV 2008 to see if this problem is there. After right clicking a folder you should have the option to scan for viruses - see below image.

If this option is not there, you have limited functionality. Can you do virus scans? Yes, you just can't do them manually by right clicking a folder or file. Note that this function IS available in 32-bit OS's (Operating Systems), i.e Vista 32/XP32
