Ahem!
Compaq and HP both use Asus mobo's..... but, the boards are made special for those companies and if there's going to be any bios upgrades, and there seldom are for proprietary mobo's, then you'll have to get them from the company whose name is on the case. That's just the way it works.
If the company isn't offering a BIOS upgrade, then there is NONE.
There will only be a bios upgrade if there was a problem with that mobo that needs fixing. NO problems = NO Upgrades. It's just that simple.
So stop worrying about it and enjoy your computer.
