Thanks, I finally got it - I had to turn on File Sharing on my guest vm (I
wrongly thought this setting was only to share files FROM my guest vm) and
once I did this I could see my host and map a drive.

Thanks for everyone's help - I learned a lot from ya'll and this experience.
