Use Team Viewer. It's free for personal use and much, much easier for
the
non-techie people whom you're trying to support. On your end, you'll
install the full support module. On your friend's end, he'll download
the
"instant customer support" module, which doesn't need to be installed.
Have
him download it to somewhere he'll find it. Then when he wants help all
he
will have to do is call you and double-click on TeamViewerQS.exe.
