I didn't quite understand what you mean "in the start it showed 4GB".
Since you have 4GB of RAM and a 32bit OS, the correct appearance should be like this:
When you start your computer, your POST screen should show 4GB of RAM.
When you enter windows, you should only see 3GB of RAM.
if this is the case, it's normal. You need 64bit windows to utilize ram > 3GB.
If your BIOS/POST screen shows 3GB, then indeed you have lost 1GB of RAM. |
