Supposedly they are working on it.
The way to avoid it is to stop signing in and just post normally.

Just use your pointer and see the full newsgroup name
as a tooltip? Alternatively, you could drag the divider
and make that pane wider. For that matter make both
the newsgroup list and the message list panes wider
then just read the threads in new tabs by doubleclicking
in the message list.
