Nope, you don't need to do anything before hand. Simply download it and install it
When you first run it, it will ask you if you wish to import your bookmarks and favourites from IE as well asking to be made the default browser.
It's safe to import bookmarks and if you wish to leave IE as the default browser, untick the "make default browser" box.
