Greetings,
When you install the latest Messenger, Windows Live Mail gets updated too.
However, it was my understanding that all versions of Windows Live Mail do not have
identities support, so I'm wondering if you were using Outlook Express?
As a quick fix though, you may just want to use the System Restore feature in Windows to go
back to before when you installed the latest Windows Live Messenger and everything should be
back to the way it was before. To get to System Restore click Start, then Help & Support,
and then 'Undo changes to my computer using System Restore'.
Be aware though that uninstalling and reinstalling the old applications is certainly still an
option, although we'll need to know which versions and which applications you need.
