view your desktop... make sure you minimize all your applications... hit the "Print Screen" button on you keyboard and paste in MS paint, or any photo editor program. save the photo... upload to photobucket and post the link in here.

if we see it then we can tell if its possible that you could make it more transparent.

Re: can i make vista more transparent

The only other thing I know that might help is, below the slider is a dropdown for color mixer. Open that and slide the saturation slider all the way to the left.

Re: can i make vista more transparent

One other thing is that different color schemes will give you a bit different look of Transparency. The level of transparency that Vista can achieve is basically locked, but the apparent transparency of your windows/borders will look different depending on your color selection.
For instance, a Frost or Default starting color will give you more apparent transparency when using less saturation, than will the Blue or Teal starting color. And that's another thing, the saturation level affects the "apparent" transparency too...you just have to play with things to find what you can achieve with your chosen starting color.

Re: can i make vista more transparent

you could try skinning cos i found the level of transparancy dissapointing as
it didnt seem enough, download vista glazz
(http://www.download.com/VistaGlazz/3...-10671199.html) as it mods
your shell files, dont worry its totally reversable, this also gives you
transparancy on full screen applications, you need to run as admin btw.
now you can download a theme i use this one
http://counteralchemist.deviantart.c...tions-82608139 cos it
doesnt really change much.

finally heres my desktop showing the transparancy
