Aero Index Score

Hey all! Been a lurker for a while now, finally plucked up the courage to join your cool peeps n' peepesses!

Question - How come my Aero Experience is lower than that of my Game score? I'd have thought aero would be matched if not greater than your gaming score, no?

My Aero Experience is 5.0 [was 4.9 but changed since i upgraded to 4gb ram.. bring on the 0.1!! =o P ]

My gaming Experience Index thingy is 5.2, hence my base score overall is 5.0 now.

Now monaing, just curious, any insight from you intelligent bunch would be mucho appreciated!

thanks, joey-elijah

Hi Joey,

These links may help explain the Windows Experience Index (WEI) better for you. The WEI is composed of different sections with different scores based on each section, but your final score will always be the lowest one out of the group.

Windows Vista Team Blog : Windows Experience Index: An In-Depth Look

AND

Windows Vista: Windows Experience Index

Hope this helps,

Re: Aero Index Score

i have actually read those before, but thanks! i was just asking if it's not an error that my aero is lower than my gaming - that was all. Cos surely if my gaming is 5.2 is can cope with aero better than 4.9?

Anyway thanks!

Re: Aero Index Score
