| Master | Re: Quick help please :( Hi Shadow Twin, Without knowing your system specs (processor, ram, video, vista basic-premium, etc.) it is impossible to give you an answer. Does your computer have enough power to run Aero? Gary |

| Master | Re: Quick help please :( Hi ShadowTwin, You didn't list your graphics card (harddrive space isn't needed here. You can find that by going to control panel (classic view) and clicking on device manager. Click the plus sign next to 'display adapters'. Since you say that you right click and select 'turn aero on' I am guessing you have 'turn aero on/off' on your right click menu. Aero comes with Home premium so no need to download it. If you are speaking of the downloads from the tutorial section of the x64 forums, that is just to add the on/off menu items. Try this. Right click on the desktop. Select personalize. Click on Windows color & appearance. If Aero is not enabled, you will get a box to select a color scheme. Select Aero as the color scheme. OK. If you still don't have transparency, you will have to go through the above steps again except now you will get a window that has a checkbox to turn transparency on/off and to select colors. Check that box and you should be good to go. Now the Aero on/off menu items should work properly. Hope this helps you. Gary |
