Suggestion: Alarm clock

I think it would be very helpful to add an "Alarm Clock" feature to the
calendar (if it's not already there, but I don't think I could have missed
it).

I have my computer on all the time, like most people. Also, I sleep at work
sometimes It would be fabulous to see an integrated alarm clock that
perhpaps uses WMP to play audio files of my selection.

Yes, I know, there are third party programs for this, but they are either
riddled with bugs or cost money.

Re: Suggestion: Alarm clock

You know what, that is a bloody excellent idea - seriously that is really
cool. Yeh you should be able to apply MP3's or something, or even open up
Windows Media Center so that you can be woken up by your favourite radio
station! p

I've written a program, it's on my website in the sandbox area -
www.zacknet.co.uk/content/sandbox/AlarmSet.zip It's an alarm clock on there
that works pretty well, try that in Vista and I'll put your name on the page
) Have a browse round the rest of the site as well, might see some cool
stuff )

Re: Suggestion: Alarm clock

I haven't tried it but I think Plus! Digital Media Edition has this feature
in Media Player. Check it out at:

RE: Suggestion: Alarm clock

longhorn 4xxx alpha releases had that feature in the calendar but as it
seems, in 5xxx releases it didn't get integrated any more. maybe towards
final release?
