Vista Tutorial - Vista desktop

I dowload a lot of games from different sites and play for the free demo time
of 60 minutes. When I close the game at the end of my freeplay [or when the
game closes itself], my entire desktop turns black and I can only get the
desktop back by logging off. I never had this problem with XP.

how much RAM do you have ?

Maybe Driver Issue.
Did you try updating to the Latest Driver ?

I have a similar problem when using Terminal Server client to access my Vista desktop. When going back into (or back into) a session the whole screen goes black (but icons still visible in my case). I usually go into "Personalise\Desktop Background" and everything comes back without making any changes.

Some people have said screen goin black is mostly because of UAC(user Account Control).Disable it and see if it works.
