Wizards, winFX and Vista

Hi All,

I have a few Wizard97 wizards and some UI that I am looking at migrating to
Vista and would like the new vista look and feel. After reading up msdn,
looks like I could pass in a AEROWIZARD flag to property sheet api and will
get the new look at feel.

However, there is this huge section about winFX API and how I can use XAML
to implement UI and I have following questions.
1. Is the new UI paradigm XAML And winFX based?
2. Is winFX going to ship built in with vista?
3. Is the guideline to implement all the new UI in Vista using .NET, winFX
presentation engine and XAML?

Thanks much for your help in advance,
Vivek

RE: Wizards, winFX and Vista

Hi Vivek,
Answers to your questions:

1) Yes, WinFX is the new application development platform. For more info,
please refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/winfx

2) Yes, WinFX will be shipped with Vista. It will also be available as a
separate install for down-level OS-es: Windows XP SP2 and Windows Server 2003
SP1.

3) Yes, that is correct.

Thanks:
Ivo
