Vista - WinFX SDK December CTP install failed

I've unintalled all the Nov CTP and intall Dec. release and the Components
3.0 is not problem to install but SDK isn't. After the install failed and
message show me to read sample\html\configdetail.htm, but I can't find this
file.

I had a similar problem. The log file given when the installation aborted
indicated some failure during installation of Compact Framework 2.0. So I
unistalled Compact Framework 2.0 and the installation is now proceeding correctly.

Definitely check the log file. Look at the last item before it mentions the
failure and that is probably where the problem is. In my case, I needed to
uninstall an old version of Monad (Microsoft Command Shell). Did that and it
started installing the SDK.

As Douglas mentioned, I too had a problem with the Compact Framework. I read
the post after i reinstinalled everything (including VS 2005

) But its
working now.... No crashes or error when building apps via Cider, although
you can't delete or double-click to go to the code directly (msdn forums on
cider has a thread on these limiations).
