AvalonAdapter error in Cider

On one of our machines we are getting an error with Cider, after we create a
new project, and try to click over to design mode, the following error
prevents the design canvas from displaying:

Error 1 The type initializer for 'AvalonAdapter' threw an
exception. C:\Projects\cider2\cider2\Window1.xaml 1
1 cider2

We have gone as far as to completely uninstall Visual Studio, all of the
WinFX components, run the uninstall script, the cleanup script, and then
reinstall Visual Studio, then MSDN library, then the WinFX components, then
the tools, and the same error appears.

Any ideas??

I'm seeing the exact same thing, at least you saved me from reinstalling VS...

The interesting part about this whole thing is, there are 4 of us that have
installed the december CTP on our laptops now, and 3 of us got it working no
problem, the 1 that isn't able isn't really a whole lot different, all the
same OS, same VS versions, heck even the same model of PC.

I found out on the MS Technical Forums that this error was probably due to
earlier releases and versioning, I used the msiinv tool, and saw I had WinFS
StoreSpy still installed. I had never been able to get rid of this, so i
used the msizap util, and finally got rid of it. Next I uninstalled Mobiform
Aurora Designer, and then Zam3D.

After uninstalling these 3 things, Cider worked... I'm guessing that the
issue was probably with Aurora which was a pre VS2005 Beta2 release.
